Photo Exhibition ‘Enchanting Pakistan’ organized to celebrate 76th Independence Day of Pakistan

The Embassy of Pakistan, Tashkent organized a photo exhibition ‘Enchanting Pakistan’ in collaboration with the Public Diplomacy Center of SCO, Uzbekistan to celebrate 76th Independence Day of Pakistan from 8-11 August 2023 in Tashkent House of Photography, Tashkent.

Opening ceremony of the Exhibition was held on 8 August 2023. It was widely attended by the resident Ambassadors, members of the diplomatic corps and academia. Head of Department of the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan Mr. AbdulMalik Zafarovich Siddikov was also present on the occasion.

The ceremony was opened by the Ambassador of Pakistan to Uzbekistan H.E. Ahmed Farooq. Other speakers included Director of the SCO Public Diplomacy Center, Uzbekistan, Mr. Kobuljon Sabirov and the Chairman of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, Mr. Akmal Nuriddinov.
On this occasion, a renowned Uzbek singer, Mr. Ilhom Abdullayev gave the audience a taste of Pakistani music. He covered Coke Studio’s ‘Wohi Khuda hai’ (by Atif Aslam) with excellence. Students of the Urdu Department of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies also paid tribute to Allama Iqbal by presenting his kalam ‘Sitaron se age jahan or bhi hain’.
The displayed photographs narrate about the ancient history, struggle, contemporary state, industry, culture and the picturesque landscapes of Pakistan.

The Exhibition will continue till 11 August 2023 in Tashkent House of Photography (Istikbol-4, Tashkent).
