Ambassador of Pakistan, Mr. Ahmed Farooq’s meeting with the Minister of Industry, Investment, and Trade of Uzbekistan, Mr. Laziz Kudratov

The Ambassador of Pakistan, Mr. Ahmed Farooq held a meeting with the Minister of Industry, Investment, & Trade of Uzbekistan, Mr. Laziz Kudratov on 24 April 2024 at the Ministry of Industry, Investment, & Trade (MIIT).

During the discussions, the Ambassador and Minister exchanged views on various avenues of collaboration, particularly in the realms of industry, investment, and trade. Recognizing the immense potential for partnership between Pakistan and Uzbekistan, both dignitaries expressed their commitment to exploring new avenues for economic cooperation and fostering greater trade ties.

Both sides renewed their commitment to increase trade volume to one billion dollars, in accordance with the Road Map signed during the 8th Session of Pakistan-Uzbekistan Inter-Governmental Commission (IGC) held in Tashkent last year.

They also expressed their mutual desire in working together to enhance connectivity between the two countries through trans-Afghan Railways project.
