The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Tashkent commemorated Quaid Day and Kashmir Culture Day with due solemnity and cultural fervour, bringing together members of the Pakistani community, students, and friends of Pakistan for a meaningful and engaging ceremony.
The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the National Anthem of Pakistan. To highlight the life, vision, and leadership of the Founder of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, a documentary on his life and struggles was screened. Another documentary showcasing the rich heritage, traditions, and landscape of Kashmir was also presented, underscoring the historical and emotional significance of the region for Pakistan.
Students residing in Tashkent actively participated in the program by sharing their reflections on the significance of Quaid Day and the importance of Kashmir, emphasizing Quaid-e-Azam’s principles of unity, faith, and discipline, as well as Pakistan’s enduring moral and diplomatic support for the just cause of the Kashmiri people.
The cultural segment of the ceremony added vibrant color and emotion to the event. A Kashmiri cultural performance, featuring a traditional Kashmiri song and participants adorned in authentic Kashmiri attire, was warmly received by the audience and reflected the beauty and resilience of Kashmiri culture.
In his keynote address, H.E. Ambassador Ahmed Farooq thanked the community members and guests for their enthusiastic participation. He emphasized that without the visionary leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the creation of Pakistan would not have been possible. The Ambassador also reiterated Quaid-e-Azam’s historic statement that “Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan,” underscoring that the freedom of Kashmir holds immense importance for Pakistan and its people. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s principled stance and continued support for the legitimate rights and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
The ceremony concluded with a group photograph, followed by refreshments featuring traditional Kashmiri food items.
