Meeting of the Ambassador with the Speaker of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan

Ambassador of Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Ahmed Farooq held a meeting with the Speaker of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, H.E. Mr. Nuriddin Ismoilov today. The Ambassador congratulated the Speaker on the successful completion of the recently held elections in Uzbekistan. Ambassador conveyed warm regards from the people and government of Pakistan to the people of Uzbekistan. He emphasized the historical and cultural bonds that connect the two countries and highlighted the potential for further growth in economic and diplomatic relations.

Speaker Ismoilov appreciated Pakistan’s role in regional stability and its commitment to promoting peace. He expressed interest in exploring joint initiatives that would benefit both nations. During the cordial and substantive discussion, Ambassador Ahmed Farooq and Speaker Ismoilov especially explored avenues for enhanced cooperation between the parliaments of two countries. Both sides expressed their commitment to fostering mutual understanding and collaboration.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthen parliamentary exchanges and explore opportunities for collaboration in areas of common interest.
