Kashmir Solidarity Day at the Embassy of Pakistan in Tashkent

A solemn ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Tashkent to commemorate Kashmir Solidarity Day, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering support for the just struggle of the people of the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) for their right to self-determination in accordance with the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.

The event was attended by community leaders, academics, media personnel, students and a number of Pakistani nationals. Messages from the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out on the occasion, highlighting the continued commitment of Pakistan to the Kashmiri cause.

Speakers underscored the significance of Kashmir Solidarity Day as a reminder of the international community’s responsibility to ensure the realization of the fundamental rights of the Kashmiri people. They emphasized that lasting peace and stability in South Asia are contingent upon a peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in line with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. They also paid tribute to the resilience and sacrifices of the people of IIOJK. A documentary highlighting the history and current humanitarian situation in the region was screened.

The event concluded with a renewed pledge to continue extending moral, political, and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people until the realization of their inalienable right to self-determination.
