Kashmir Black Day Observed
The Embassy of Pakistan, Tashkent held an event to observe the 77th anniversary of Kashmir Black Day today. The event expressed solidarity with the just and rightful freedom struggle of the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and highlighted the ongoing human rights abuses there.
In his remarks on the occasion, Ambassador Ahmed Farooq emphasized the significance of ‘Youm-e-Tasees’, how this day in 1947 became the darkest chapter in the independence process of Pakistan and paid rich tribute to the continued struggle of the Kashmiri people for their inalienable right to self-determination.
Other speakers, on the occasion, condemned Indian efforts to Indianize the demographic and political landscape of Jammu and Kashmir, in violation of international law and UN Security Council resolutions and emphasized the need for international intervention to resolve the Kashmir issue.
A photo exhibition was also organized to highlight the relentless atrocities committed by Indian Occupation Forces with impunity in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
