The Board of Investment (BOI) is the apex body for promotion of investment and facilitation of local & foreign investors in all sectors of economy. BOI acts as the focal contact point for prospective foreign/local investors in collaboration with respective Provincial and Federal Government entities. In this regard, BOI has already identified priority sectors for investment including automotive, logistics, textile, food processing, IT, tourism and housing and construction sectors.

As a result of the reforms introduced by the current Government, Foreign Direct Investment in Pakistan is being viewed as an essential tool for economic development which calls for promoting Pakistan as preferred investment destination. In order to facilitate international investors in targeting areas for investment/projects, BOI has developed an online database of available 120 projects with federal/provincial governments worth 60 billion US$ available at https://project.gov.pk/pmis/#/. BOI has developed an interactive website (www.invest.gov.pk), regularly updated and can be viewed in eight international languages. To facilitate our investor, all services being offered by BOI has been digitized (Work Visa, Permission of branch/Liaison Office, Special Economic Zone).
