Embassy of Pakistan, Tashkent hosted a Webinar themed ‘Connectivity between Pakistan and Uzbekistan: History, Prospects and Challenges’ in collaboration with Institute of Regional Studies, Islamabad and Tashkent State Transport University, Tashkent. Learned speakers included Professor Dr. Adam Saud, Ambassador Khalid Usman Qaiser, Dr. Bokhodir Turaev and Dr. Melike Besbinar.
The speakers shed light on the strategic importance of connectivity in the region, the historical linkages between Pakistan and Uzbekistan as well as on prospects and challenges in the deep-rooted relationship. Proceedings of the Webinar also focused on the revival of connectivity between Pakistan and Uzbekistan in the form of Trans-Afghan Railway Project.
