Embassy of Pakistan in Tashkent Hosts National Day Ceremony

Flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan, Tashkent on 23 March 2024 to mark the National Day of Pakistan.

Ambassador of Pakistan to Uzbekistan His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Farooq hoisted the national flag with the national anthem in the backdrop. The message of the President and the Prime Minister on the auspicious occasion was also read out to the audience.

In his remarks, Mr. Ahmed Farooq paid tribute to the founding fathers of Pakistan whose services and sacrifices led to the creation of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the South Asia Sub-continent. Highlighting the historic significance of the Day, the Ambassador urged the community to play its constructive role in realizing the dream of founding fathers renew its commitment to adhere to the principles of justice and equity; the real objectives of the creation of Pakistan. He also highlighted the unlawful occupation of Jammu & Kashmir by India, and reiterated Pakistan’s moral and diplomatic support to the people of Kashmir.

The solemn event, which was widely attended by Pakistani community in Uzbekistan, concluded with prayers for the prosperity and progress of Pakistan and also for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir who are struggling to exercise their inalienable right to self-determination.
