Announcement of Conferment of Award to Dr. Mukhayyo Abdurakhmonova

Ambassador of Pakistan to Uzbekistan H.E. Ahmed Farooq held a meeting with the Rector of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS) Dr. Gulchehra Rikhsieva and presented the letter of the Secretary of Cabinet of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan announcing the conferment of ‘Tamgha i Imtiaz’ to Dr. Mukhayyo Abdurakhmonova, Professor of Urdu Language, Literature and History at the University.

The Award has been conferred to Dr. Mukhayyo Abdurakhmonova by the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in recognition of her services in the field of Urdu language, contributing significantly to the Pakistan-Uzbekistan relations.

An investiture ceremony for conferment of the award on Dr. Mukhayyo Abdurakhmonova would be held on 7 May 2024 in the Embassy.

The awardee and entire team of the TSUOS thanked the Ambassador and the Embassy for their supportive role in this endeavour.
