The Embassy of Pakistan, Tashkent held an event to pay homage to the Armed Forces of Pakistan on Defence and Martyrs Day on 6 September 2024.
The ceremony was attended by resident Ambassadors, Defence Attaches and other guests from the diplomatic corps.
The solemn event started with the national anthems of Pakistan and Uzbekistan, followed by the messages of the President and the Prime Minister and remarks of Defence Attache of Pakistan in Uzbekistan. The Ambassador of Pakistan to Uzbekistan, H.E. Ahmed Farooq gave the concluding speech.
In his remarks, H.E. Ahmed Farooq paid rich tribute to the valiant sons of the soil who have laid great sacrifices in protecting the freedom and territorial integrity of Pakistan. Highlighting the significance of the Day, the Ambassador mentioned that the whole Pakistani nation stands with their armed forces in defence of their dear homeland.
