Ambassador’s Meeting with the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan

Ambassador of Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Ahmed Farooq held a meeting with the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva. During the meeting, Ambassador emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to furthering its multifaceted partnership with Uzbekistan. He highlighted the historical and cultural ties that bind the two nations and reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for regional connectivity and economic integration initiatives.

The Chairperson expressed her appreciation for the deep-rooted relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan, noting the shared aspirations for peace, stability, and prosperity in the region. She underscored Uzbekistan’s eagerness to strengthen inter-parliamentary cooperation and foster people-to-people contacts.

Both sides discussed avenues for collaboration, including enhancing trade ties, boosting cultural exchanges, and exploring opportunities in inter-parliamentary cooperation, education and tourism. The meeting concluded with a mutual resolve to advance the strategic partnership between Pakistan and Uzbekistan, ensuring that the longstanding ties continue to flourish for the mutual benefit of both nations and their people.
