Ambassador of Pakistan, H.E. Ahmed Farooq’s meeting with Speaker of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, H.E. Nuriddin Ismoilov

The Ambassador of Pakistan, Mr. Ahmed Farooq called on the Speaker of Oliy Majlis (Legislative Chamber) of Uzbekistan, H.E. Nuriddin Ismoilov on its premises.

During their discussions, the Ambassador and the Speaker highlighted the historic cooperation between the two countries as Pakistan was amongst the first countries to have recognized Uzbekistan after its independence in 1991. Acknowledging the immense potential for partnership between Pakistan and Uzbekistan, they expressed their commitment to exploring new avenues for parliamentary cooperation, enhancing people to people contact and fostering greater economic ties.

The two sides also resolved to further the interactions between Parliamentary Friendship Groups between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
