Embassy of Pakistan in Tashkent Commemorates First Anniversary of Marqa-e-Haq

The Embassy of Pakistan in Tashkent commemorated the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq with solemnity and patriotic spirit at a ceremony attended by members of the Pakistani community, friends of Pakistan, and Embassy officials.

Addressing the gathering, Ambassador of Pakistan Mr. Ahmed Farooq highlighted the significance of Marka-e-Haq as a defining moment reflecting Pakistan’s unity, resilience and unwavering commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty and territorial integrity. Referring to the messages of the national leadership, he paid tribute to the sacrifices of the Armed Forces and the martyrs who defended the homeland with courage and professionalism. The Ambassador reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to peace, regional stability, constructive diplomacy and support for the legitimate rights and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Defence Attaché Col. Waqas Akhtar, in his remarks, stated that Marka-e-Haq symbolized the steadfast resolve of the Pakistani nation and Armed Forces, who stood like a “steel wall” against aggression and successfully defended the country’s sovereignty and citizens. He highlighted that Pakistan’s response during Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos demonstrated the professionalism, preparedness and technological capability of the Armed Forces across all domains. He emphasized that Pakistan remains fully prepared to counter conventional and non-conventional threats and reiterated that lasting peace in South Asia is linked with a just resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to eliminate terrorism in all its forms and defend the country’s security and stability against all threats.

A documentary highlighting the events of Marka-e-Haq was screened during the ceremony, followed by patriotic national songs which evoked great enthusiasm among the participants.

Members of the Pakistani community shared their sentiments and paid tribute to the sacrifices and achievements of Pakistan’s Armed Forces. They reiterated their unwavering commitment and dedication to the national cause and expressed their resolve to stand united in the service and defence of Pakistan under all circumstances.

The ceremony concluded with an artist presenting a sketch as a tribute to the Armed Forces of Pakistan, followed by a group photograph of the participants.
