Briefing for the Representatives of the RATS SCO

The Embassy of Pakistan, Tashkent organized a meeting with the incoming Director of the Executive Committee (EC) of the Regional Antiterrorism Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (RATS SCO), Deputy Directors and Permanent Representatives of SCO member states.

During the event, the Permanent Representative of Pakistan to RATS SCO, Mr. Faheem ud Din Qazi briefed on Pakistan’s Counter Terrorism efforts. He also highlighted the sacrifices of the Law Enforcement Agencies and the people of Pakistan as well as major successes achieved in the counter terrorism arena through targeted operations and socio-economic development carried out in militancy affected areas.

Participants appreciated the role of Pakistan in fight against regional and global terrorism. There was a general recognition that Pakistan has always played a constructive role in the RATS SCO and continues to fight against terrorism.
