Logistics Forum, 29 June 2024, Tashkent

Logistics Forum was held in Tashkent as part of ‘Made in Uzbekistan’ exhibition to enhance Pakistan’s trade and economic relations with the Central Asian countries under its Regional Connectivity Policy.

The Forum was presided over by the Deputy Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan, Secretaries of Commerce and Railways of Pakistan. It was widely attended by representatives of logistics firms, shipping agents, trade and investment representatives, industry experts, and business owners etc.

The experts noted that Pakistan’s strategic location, connecting South Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East, serves as a gateway to the Arabian Sea and major shipping routes. Pakistan’s location coupled with its developed infrastructure like motorways, ports of Gwadar and Karachi and rail links, greatly enhances the efficiency and efficacy of the transit trade.
