12th Conference of the Tourism Ministers of OIC, Khiva

The Embassy of Pakistan, Tashkent represented Pakistan in the 12^th Islamic Conference of Tourism Ministers held in Khiva, Uzbekistan on 31 May to 2 June 2024. The Conference was chaired by Uzbekistan.

Pakistan stressed the need of strengthening tangible and intangible tourism infrastructure amongst the OIC Member States. Pakistan also supported enabling visa regimes for the development of Islamic tourism.

The Conference selected Lahore – the cultural heart of Pakistan as the Tourism City of the Islamic World for 2027.
